Your Neighbourhood

All Timburwall properties are located in New Edinburgh, a central, turn of the century neighbourhood which has become an enclave for upper income professionals.  It is an established residential area with churches, community facilities, parks and beautiful, mature trees.  The neighbourhood is delineated by Sussex Drive and the Prime Minister’s residence; the grounds of the Governor General’s residence; Beechwood Avenue with its grocery stores, coffee shops and bistros; and the meandering Rideau River and parkland.

Ideal for Play

• The Byward Market is just across the Rideau River from Timburwall properties. It is the heart of Ottawa’s downtown core and one of Canada’s oldest and largest public markets. Outdoor vendors sell fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers in warm months. Specialty shops, cafes, restaurants and night spots line the streets.

• Gatineau Park is located in Quebec, fifteen minutes north of Timburwall. It is a superb 361 acre nature reserve which offers hundreds of kilometres of biking, hiking and ski trails, abundant wildlife, crystal-clear lakes and endless opportunities for outdoor activities and adventures.

• The Rideau River and Rideau Falls border the property. A wonderful bike and jogging path runs along the river and connects to other bike paths in the city.

Access to Schools

Excellent public and private schools serve the neighbourhood including Elmwood School, Ashbury College, MacDonald Cartier Academy, Rockcliffe Park Public School, St. Brigid Catholic School and Fern Hill School. The University of Ottawa and Carleton University are a quick commute away.

Walk to Work

Numerous embassies, the core business district of Ottawa-Gatineau and many government offices are an easy walk or bike away.
